Family fun at The Langham, Sydney

The kids and I spent the weekend up in Sydney at The Langham, Sydney. It was my nephew Liam's 4th birthday and as we were in lockdowns for his two previous birthdays I was determined that we wouldn't miss this one.

The Langham, Sydney, is a stunning five-star property located on Kent Street, tucked just behind The Rocks and is a short walk away from Barangaroo and Darling Harbour.

Like its sister hotel in Melbourne, The Langham, Sydney, is pooch-friendly and we spotted so many adorable dogs enjoying a staycation during our time at the hotel.

Above is the view from level one overlooking The Langham's stunning lobby.

We stayed in a Deluxe King Room on level one which had a charming balcony overlooking the neighbouring tennis court on Kent Street. The rooms are luxurious and all feature handcrafted furniture and custom artwork.

The kids were delighted with the housemate cookies and treats in the room when we checked-in. What a way to make them feel at home!

Our first stop was to the hotel pool which is located on the sub basement level at the Day Spa. The 20 metre indoor heated pool features an exquisite painted ceiling, you literally feel like you are swimming under the stars.

After a perfect Sydney evening spent with my family, we headed back to the hotel and had a 'nightcap' in the lobby bar- a Negroni for me and hot chocolates for the kids. Perfection!

My kids never pack lightly but it was only when we got back to to the room that I realised just how many Squishmallows they had packed into their bags!

After a blissful sleep it was time for breakfast which is served buffet style at the hotel's restaurant, Kitchens On Kent. The food, service and setting are all magnificent.

We then strolled down to Darling Harbour to check out Madame Tussauds which is located next to Sealife Sydney Aquarium at Aquarium Wharf. I had never been to Tussaud's before and was SO excited to check it out.

The kids adored the sports section which includes a few cricketers, tennis players, soccer stars and basketballers.

I loved the celebrities and movie stars - they were all so life-like, especially the Hemsworth brothers.

After a very fun hour exploring we headed next door to meet my sisters and nephews at Sealife Sydney Aquarium.

Sealife Sydney is an incredible underwater world located right on Sydney harbour.

The highlight for the kids was Dugong Island which is home to the adorable Pig the dugong. They absolutely loved watching Pig being fed and swimming with some of the other ocean life.

The boys also loved the Lionfish and loved learning about how they are super dangerous and poisonous!

The Penguin Expedition Ride was another highlight - this incredible first-of-its-kind ride takes you up close to a gorgeous colony of penguins. Tickets for the ride are included in the entry fee to the Aquarium.

After an incredible day exploring it was time for Liam's birthday dinner - back at his favourite italian restaurant in Double Bay.

When the kids and I got back to the hotel after dinner it was so cute to see some of the team from The Langham had set up all of their Squishmallows ready for bed! Such a gorgeous touch!

The next morning we had another delicious breakfast at Kitchens On Kent. How stunning is this private dining space (above) in the restaurant?! Dining room goals!

We could not have enjoyed our weekend in Sydney or our time at The Langham, Sydney, more. The kids are already planning their next visit! Like all Langham Hotels, it is a luxurious property but also very family friendly and the staff could not have been more accomodating.
