Turtle treats & delicious sweets at The Langham Melbourne
The Langham Melbourne holds a very special place in my heart.
Twelve years ago I celebrated my 21st birthday in the Yarra Room, nearly eight years ago my husband and I hosted our wedding reception in the Ballroom, and in the years since we have returned many times; an overnight mini-break, lunch in Melba Restaurant, or to treat the kids to one of the hotel's fabulous themed children's High Tea events which run during the school holidays.
On the weekend I was fortunate enough to enjoy two nights at the Langham Melbourne with my family as a special birthday treat.

Alex admiring the view from our room
We stayed in a Club room on the 19th Floor. It was a corner room with the most spectacular views of the Yarra River, the Melbourne city skyline, Federation Square, and the neighbouring Arts Precinct.
For Alex, who is two years old and transportation obsessed, it was the most magical experience as he watched the trains come and go from Flinders Street Station, boats traverse the Yarra River, trams skip across the Princes Bridge, and helicopters zip by our window.
That view! Melbourne at its best from level 24 of Langham Melbourne
After we checked-in my first stop was to the hotel’s Chuan Spa where I enjoyed the most fabulous deep tissue massage. Bliss!
One of the highlights of the weekend for the kids was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles themed High Tea, which they enjoyed as a special treat. The hotel set up a table for two in our room and both kids couldn't believe their eyes at the range of Turtle inspired treats, pizza boxes and hot chocolates. It was such a nice experience to have the tea party in our room; for a small group it is a fantastic option for a chic and intimate children's party. In fact, they enjoyed it so much my four year old, Ava, is already asking if we can have another tea party at the Langham for her next birthday party!

Breakfast in Club Lounge
As we were staying in Club we had access to the Club Lounge on the 24th Floor for breakfast, refreshments throughout the day, afternoon tea between 3pm and 5pm and drinks and canapés between 5.30pm and 8pm. This was the first time we had been in the Club Lounge and it was a beautiful experience with gorgeous food and wine and the most stunning views over Melbourne. We were even able to order kids meals from Room Service and have these delivered to us in Club.

The kids could have spent all day in the hotel pool which is on the 9th Floor and has similarly breathtaking views of the city skyline.
After 48 blissful hours it was time to check-out.
But before we left we had one final pit stop – lunch at Melba Restaurant. We had an absolute feast and the highlight for the kids was, of course, the Connoisseur ice cream bar and chocolate fountain!
