A beautiful Baptism by Paper Jam Studio
We are thrilled to be sharing a beautiful Baptism celebration from talented luxury stationery designers, Danielle and Irini from Paper Jam Studio. Danielle's daughter Amalia celebrated her Baptism last week with an absolutely beautiful ballet themed soiree at Kew Boulevard Restaurant in Melbourne, with the city skyline as the backdrop.
The Food
Guests enjoyed A25 Pizza on arrival, followed by a three-course meal, with a delicious selection of cakes and desserts as the finale.
The Cake
The breathtaking Christening cake was made by Nikos Cakes and was vanilla and strawberry fudge with a Nutella and vanilla honeycomb crunch. It featured handmade textured sugar frills which were painted with a pearl finish to create the tulle skirt effect. The top tier had 23ct gold leaf and pink velvet ribbon was wrapped around the cake to connect the handmade ballerina slippers with tiny flowers and Swarovski crystals. We love how the ballet shoes are perfectly positioned beneath the tutu dress on the banner.
The Dessert Table
The dessert table also featured Yo-Yo’s with soft pink icing and vanilla cup cakes by Nikos Cakes, as well as mini naked cakes made by Danielle’s Mum, which featured fresh flowers from her garden. They also served two treats made by Andrea from A.T Bakes - heart shaped watercolour cookies and Salted Caramel popcorn (which was packaged by Paper Jam Studio with ballet shoe illustrations and luxurious ribbon). The desserts were set up on gold photo frames from West Elm..
The Flowers
All floral arrangements were by Floretta by Grace. Danielle wanted to create a natural, garden effect where amongst the green foliage were soft hues of purple and pink and this was certainly achieved with the beautiful arrangements of peonies, hydrangeas and roses.
The Invitations, Banner & Paperie by Paper Jam Studio
All ballet illustrations including the tutu and ballet shoes were hand drawn by Natalie Rompotis.
Natalie’s illustrations were then digitally printed on to Paper Jam Studio’s signature linen paper invitations, which featured customised gold foiling to give the invitation that luxurious touch.
Table numbers and personalised place cards all featured the hand drawn hanging ballerina shoes, as did the stunning banner, which was framed and hung behind the dessert table.
Paper Jam Studio also created a seating board printed on foam board backing which featured the hanging ballerina shoes and beautiful florals created by Floretta by Grace.
Tutus made by Danielle’s mum were displayed around the room and these were handed out to Amalia’s friends at the conclusion of the event.
What an absolutely magical celebration. Thank you to Danielle and Irini for sharing these pictures of Amalia’s special day. www.paperjamstudio.com.au instagram.com/paperjamstudio
